Brilliant I was waiting for Genius to add the lyrics! Copied from my reddit post but: I love this sound so much. This was my favourite from the teasers, I was so looking forward to this sound.

I love the rest of the album but this is like edging someone and leaving them with blue balls when they haven't wanked in years.

Anybody else thinking this is just an elaborate intro for a Surf pt. 2 in the second album and its going to be a big stinky rager?

Literally one of the only songs on the album that captures the interesting/mysterious kind of sound Holy Fire had that made it so fun and exciting to listen to (along with being the most critically acclaimed). I feel like this would have worked 100 times better as the opener/intro going into “Exits” the same way “prelude” went into “inhaler”. I also feel like this album lacks the cathartic payoff found on that album in most of its songs (not sure if this is due to the bassist’s departure?). It feels less polished and a bit underwhelming overall - here’s hoping the second part of this album delivers a bit more.
