The security pen is a "Signo Uni-Ball 207." I have been using these pens for more than 10 years. I have bought them at Staples, Office Depot, and Target. I recently bought a pack of 9 pens for about $9 at Target.

Banks or stores that are cashing these checks need to be held accountable.

"We're not going to tell you what chemicals we used"
*Can of Acetone sitting literally right on the table to the left of him at the end of the video*
Good job man, you did great about hiding what chemical you used xD

Makes no sense switching out a non-security pen with a security pen for sigs. Just use the security pen for CKs, period.

why not use a regular check and just use a security pen??

This may have been valuable information back in the 80's. But everyone's had access to blank check paper and MICR toner for at least 2 decades now. Even grandma can input a routing and account number into check writing software.

If the checks were just printed with soluble ink would they not be left with a blank piece of paper?

I'm here because this shit happened to me ...completely didn't know about this but money has been returned and since the asshole had the balls to use their name and fingerprint I'm glad to report they're looking at federal felony counts

Thanks for your video. Just read a story about a local group that did this and wanted to refresh my memory. I've seen "Catch Me If You Can" and watched many of Abigail's lectures and presentations.

The group was smart enough to "launder, " but dumb enough to do it at Walmart, so there are now published pictures of four people going into Walmart in two teams; one to buy with the forged check, one to return the items for cash. Their vehicle was also captured on camera.

Funny how people can be clever enough to use the internet to learn to wash a check, but so inept as to overlook the mass of security cameras at a Walmart.

On another interesting point, the photo of the couple that bought the goods coming out of Walmart is from a low angle -- about the height of a person. Walmarts here have a security company that drive around the parking lot and patrol the store. The truck they drive around in must have a camera in it, which is interesting and makes sense. Anyway, guessing these folks will be caught by the end of the day, if they don't just turn themselves in. No doubt they've been contacted by family and friends that have seen the published security photos.

Acetone will dissolve the gloves - use bamboo chopsticks. Wonder what they used to black out important info? The Uniball 207?

uses tinted ski goggles because apparently a 3 dollar par of safety glasses from wall mart was just to hard to find.

Thank you for your video and guidance Sileo. Kindly prepare a video about US Treasury checks. We see a lot of fraudulent Treasury check items fraudsters use to commit fraud.

His sample checks have a plain white background. Most checks have a striped background to foil washing.

lol.. When the detectives asked the person suspected of cashing bad checks to explain himself he said "Well, it all started when I clicked on a youtube video..."

Banks should have a manadatory policy for checks over like 100 to be notified of account holder

PRO TIP: If This Old News Was A “No-Brainer” To You And You’re Wondering How “Thieves” Continue To Out-Smart These “High Level Security” Checks and Pens The Answer Involves Giving A Q-Tip A Bath In Acetone Instead Of The Checks. Acetone Is The Same Key-Ingredient In The Top Secret Grade A+ “Formula” This JackWagon Is Yappin’ About. Acetone Is Also The Key-Ingredient In Nail Polish Remover, Or In This Case Paint Thinner, As Well As Other Things. Check Fraud Is Old News Now Though!!! This New Stuff Ive Been Seeing Happen Left And Right Is On A Much Higher Level And Doesn’t Leave Behind A Paper Trail!!!

Yes, but why do the banks cash a personal check for someone that DOES NOT have an account in the instruction? No recourse.

Wouldn't you write everything EXCEPT the signature in secure ink? (Uniball 207++)
