I walked over to Sukhumvit Soi 25 in the Asoke area. A quiet area in Bangkok, Thailand.

On my channel banner above you'll find the current links to my favorite travel credit cards. I try to keep them updated, but please leave me a comment if you need a current link.

For my money - Ruam Rudi or Sala Daeng. Both close enough to civilization but out of the way of conjestion.

Thanks for doing this video on Soi 25. It is exactly as I had imagined it when I was there last November and glad I did not walk it, so many other more interesting Sois to check out 🙂

I got caught in that Emsphere walkway thingie...still can not believe they did not extend the walkway, makes no sense.

Just a suggestion for a future topic: I see serviced apartments mentioned online. But not much from vloggers. I undertand they are a bit more expensive than leasing your own place. But there are distinct advantages. Would like to get your perspective at some point.

Update on miles and points cards: The new coming Alaska Airlines premium card is supposed to have 3x earning on purchases made abroad. The bad thing about it though is it will come from Bank of America, just heads up.

Excellent video. Very helpful I am planning to stay on Soi 24 for three weeks in March.

I like the lumpini park area. I really need a park. But that area seems really expensive.

I don't mind living on the fringe. I don't get tempted to go out drinking every night because it's a bit of a trip. But a 25 minute train ride is no big deal. Only problem is the train stops running at midnight, so on those rare occasions that I'm out late I have to adjust. I pay about $60 a month for the BTS/MRT so I'll reevaluate my budget to see if it's worth living where I am or if I should live closer. Good video Joe.

For General info Mela Grande has 2 and 3 br apartments starting 65000 baht and is on Soi 25 according to their webpage.

When you think of the fortune they spent building Emsphere, its nonsensical they didn't extend the walkway to the other side of Sukhumvit Rd.
I was in Phrom Phong last month and was frustrated by it every day.

I have noticed that the crosswalk at soi 22 takes at least 5 minutes to cross both sides of suhkhumvit I would rather walk down to emsphere and up and over than to wait at that crosswalk.

I know people that are ballers and spend 2000+ on rent...at that price I'd rather stay in a serviced studio, 1bedroom like Fraser's or Marriott's, not needing to worry about cleaning or paying bills😬
