Mary visits our home- Apparition of Our lady of Kuravilangad Morning Blessing and word of God

The apparition of Our Lady of Kuravilangad (often spelled as “Kurangalivaad”) refers to a Marian apparition believed to have occurred in the village of Kuravilangad in Kerala, India. According to tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to a group of children in AD 335 near a spring in the village.

The legend states that Mother Mary instructed the children to build a church in her honor at the location of the apparition. As a sign of her presence, a miraculous spring is said to have appeared at the spot, which still exists today. The church that was subsequently built is known as St. Mary’s Forane Church, Kuravilangad, which is one of the oldest churches in Kerala.

The church has a significant historical and spiritual importance among the Syro-Malabar Catholic community. Pilgrims visit the site to seek the intercession of the Virgin Mary, and many believe in the healing properties of the spring’s water. The annual feast of Our Lady of Kuravilangad attracts thousands of devotees, celebrating with processions, special prayers, and offerings.
