Part 2 of the Millers Falls Power Hacksaw restoration:

This quick clip shows some of the painting process during this antique tool restoration. Was on a roll and forgot to film the painting of the main body casting, sorry about that...

All the paint used was oil-based. The casting is Sherwin Williams brand, mixed to a custom color (SouthBend Gray - comment if you are looking for the code). I've used this in the past for a SouthBend 9B restoration. Amazing paint that self-levels and makes the whole job easy. Stands up to heavy use and and lubrication you can throw at it.

The red and black paints are both Rust-Oleum brand - basic hardware store oil-based paint. Great durability for the money.

Thanks! Nice progress. When your taping off, one of those cheap disposable box cutters with the break off tips is really handy as they are flexible and can be extended several inches to reach hard to get places.
