Your turnips and swedes look excellent. I put those tiny carrots raw in a salad, they are tasty and so sweet - they make nice snacks too while watching TV.

My snowball turnips are golf ball size just now. I've pulled a few and they are delicious.

I've never had turnips with potatoes. I will have to try that but is it too late to sow some seeds? Thank you for the reminder about sowing carrots. I just "harvested" and sifted a wheelbarrow full of compost from 3 totes, perfect for carrots, I think.

I grew turnips once at the allotment before we moved and no one in the family liked them. Do you have one that you would recommend on taste? If they're all similar in taste I think I'll just use the planting space for something people prefer. Those snowballs look really good.

Hope you’re feeling better Ivan. I’m trying turnip for the first time this year. How do you use them? I expect roasted but any other ideas to use them?
