Recommendation for the checks/cash from an MBA student. I’m not sure how you have “adoption island” set up business wise but you could possibly look into making it a 501c3 non profit & deposit them as the donations fans intend them to be. You could have a website for donations, which may help negate receiving them via mail. Take the LLC & the 501c3 and umbrella them underneath an S.Corp- for taxes and what not.

Ed, seeing you on screen takes this channel up a level. I remember when you were the silent camera man but when you started doing the odd comment and unhappily getting caught on camera, followed by filming eggs when Emily was away your sense of humour was and is a gem!

You should cash checks that are sent to Snake Discovery. They want you to have it. You can always consider it a donation to a good cause, both animal rescue and education. Besides if you don't cash them more people will just send cash. You guys are awesome, I haven't missed an episode since I subscribed. Besides for a lot of people this is a way to feel more involved with the Awesomeness that is Snake Discovery.

For the checks, open a savings account for the rescue animals or vet bills. Also, I agree Michigan is the best state 😊

What you do is very important. You guys are a HUGE part of the welfare of reptiles and crawlies all over the world. When people send checks, it's because they want to help. Let them help. Us normals can't do much, but we can help you help the herps, and that matters. It seems like not depositing the checks is actually kind of rude, because these people are offering help, it's obviously important to them.

The box that leaked was mine! Haha that little jar was a resin jar I made! It apparently melted or wasn’t cured all the way 😂there was resin feathers inside the jar. 😊

I would say deposit the checks and use them towards the rescue or towards vet funds or zoo upgrades. Fans, especially the young ones, probably feel very proud and/or meaningful about their donations, and I’m sure they are happy knowing that they have contributed to your zoo and rescue efforts! 💙

My experience giving money is we don't give anything that would hurt us, so it's truly wanting to help. Like others have said, funding your rescue program is a really good cause, but even like giving your employees bonuses would be awesome too.

Absolutely deposit the cheques for the rescue animals & vet bills. Everyone wants to help rescue animals but not everyone is able to physically do it, so their way of contributing is by helping fund your efforts. More funds hopefully means more rescues accomplished!
