This worked for me! USB drive speed was 50 MB/s max and would frequently dip to a fraction of that speed. I applied both commands and am now getting ~100 MB/s. (Other viewers - I recommend fast forwarding much of the video instead of watching the commands work their magic since there's nothing really to see during that time.)

My Sandisk ultra USB 3.0 stick transfers at 12MB/s and is plugged into a USB 3.0 port with driver updates checked. No clue why it runs so slow but it's rubbish. My portable hard drives with usb 3.0 work very fast in the same slots

!!! THIS IS NOT SOLUTION... First check if your usb storage is formated with NTFS, most cases it is on exFAT and this cause problem.

Hi there, this worked the first time I did it, took my USB fro 6MSs to 130MBs. However second use and it is back to 6MBs. I redid the instructions but no joy. I have set USB to better performance. Any tips? Thanks
