Joe Biden pledges action on climate ‘emergency’

US President Joe Biden announced a series of measures to combat the climate change “emergency” by pledging government action.

The executive actions include a massive investment in wind energy and providing funding to areas most affected by heat.

Mr Biden said climate change is an “emergency.”

“I’m going to use the power I have as president to turn these words into formal, official government actions,” he said.
