To be clear the DeWalt D24000 has a much higher build quality and in my opinion is worth the extra cost. It's just too heavy for my needs. I can get the same cut quality from the RIDGID but wouldn't expect it to last as long with everyday use. My RIDGID has 1/16 of tray play off the rail. The DeWalt D24000 I reviewed had 1/32'' of play off rail. If that worsens it's adjustable on both saws.

Just used this to do a pretty crazy limestone geometric backsplash with some 22.5 degree miters. It worked great. It probably wouldn't hold up to everyday use, but works well for the occasional project. The fact that it pivots for miter cuts and is fairly inexpensive is exactly what I needed.

I bought one a month ago for home improvement needs and it has worked out perfectly fine actually better than expected. Although I do think the tiny pump does need an upgrade but laser guide is such an added benefit, really helped me not to make wasteful cuts.

Thank you for the review. I am just a DIY guy and not a professional. I am renovating my house and with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash on my to-do list I think I'll buy this saw or similar vs renting. I think it will suit my needs.

Thank you for this video. I just bought one solely based on cost. You made me feel better about my purchase!

Great review. A good part of building are the tools but an equal part is the operator. Going to pick one of these up for occasional tile work. Thanks!

Like how you showed how to cut long tile pieces. I might need to do that!

I recently bought this saw and like you said it's a great saw for someone that occasionally does tile, I plan on making some modifications like first using some spray on bedliner to coat the table to make it more vibration resistant and give it some grip on the tile, the small amount of play in the table isn't a deal breaker for me considering my last saw was a harbor freight one and had massive play even while all wheels were engaged, besides that I'll maybe upgrade the pump already did that to my old saw so can use that old pump as a backup in case this one breaks.

Good review, I'm an amateur rockhounder looking to cut rocks with this.

Hello, i'm really curious about the tool that you use at 5:42 to remove the sparkle on the ceramic. is it a pumice?

A wet saw is a must if you're doing mosaic tile. I went from I wasted all my money trying to diy to damn this looks like the original factory tile after i cut it. Get a dedicated mosaic/glass tile blade. My cuts with my diamond blade grinder looked like a mouse started sharpening its teeth it was so bad.

I can tell you are a good carpenter because you used to Stanley Fat.Max tape measure, Plus I see a 24" Stebella level in the background ✌️

What did you use to smooth out the edge of the tile here 5:40 ?? Thanks for this review. Very helpful. This wet saw looks like it may be one of the best of the lower end wet saws for the price.

All I can say is that, on sale this is less than 1/3 of what the DeWalt cost. It's so much superior to... well... Having nothing lol. If you just do the very occasional tile job, it's not worth it to get the DeWalt. Always get the lightest tool that will do the job.

I’m surprised you didn’t talk more about the back spray. I’ve condemned mine to being an outdoor/garage saw. Should call it the ridgid super soaker lol. Good tool though especially for the price 👍

Great video. Very well detailed. I’m thinking of getting one soon but I’m still trying to decide between Ridgid, Dewalt. Hence the reason I ended up here.

I bought one of these last night. I got it all put together before I noticed the drain spout was broke off. It was laying in a place that looked like it broke off at the factory and they just tossed it in the box. What really sucks is I needed to use it that night. Hopefully I can super glue it or plug the hole so I can get some work done before I return it or try to get a new tray. I was hoping this saw would not have much chipping on the porcelain tile but looks like it does in your video. Would it help if I bought a different blade? Thanks.

Hey I’m doing stone masonry in New England. We cut all of our stone veneer hunched over with a circular saw. Would this be able to cut 1-2” thick stone veneer well?

If any one has tried please would like to know experience.

Thanks
