Who were the Moabites? Before discovering the Moabite Stone in 1868, the only record of the Moabites was found in the Bible. And like with many ancient peoples that have disappeared from history, there was some doubt that they ever existed. Let's learn more about the Moabites by watching this video.

Ruth was not a Moabite. She was a woman of Moab not a daughter of Moab. About 200 years before Ruth birth, Israel took the land from the Amorites who took the land from the Moabites. Within that land was an area called "the plains of Moab". Ruth was from the tribe of Reuben according to the literature. Numbers 21:26 Numbers 22:1 Numbers 32:33

Actually i hail from the land of Moab in northern Ghana and the name of our tribe is called Moab.But we don't know exactly where we migrated from to present day Ghana

I still did not see any clarity in your explanation of the Moabites sir! Because in Jeremiah 48: 47 it says: Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the Lord. Ok than from reading this scripture the Moabites has to be still among us to this very day! That's why I said you still didn't make no clarity on who are the Moabites people in this latter time.

They occupied parts of the Canaanites empire but they were not Canaanites they were shemites not hamites and spoke hebrew or a variant dialect, same as the ammonites they share a bloodline with abraham
