thank you Mr. Jagger and Mr. Grazer  for getting this to the screen. its VERY sad that it took white people to finance this and bring this to life. Spike Lee, Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Eddie Murphy, and Cosby. either one of these people could have  dug in their pockets to make this happen. JB was black people's hero now the story is going to be told in Mr. Jagger and Mr. Grazer's vision so fans can't beef if we watch it and there's inaccuracies. hopefully, they won't be.

my thoughts have changed about this movie. I know now they're not goin for accuracy as far as actors looking, acting and sounding like the  people they're portraying. the director wanted professional ACTORS. Chadwick, Jill Scott, Craig Robinson, etc resemblances to  JB, Bobby Byrd, Maceo Parker, Brown's second wife etc was secondary. the average fan won't know how Bobby, Maceo and Diedre Brown looked anyway.  they wanted great actors and great performances for the screen. I get that now. Ray Liotta played Sinatra didn't resemble him. Angela Bassett did Tina Turner, didn't resemble her. However, they gave excellent performances and that was the most important thing that a director wants when getting a portrayal on screen. not a impression or impersonation but a real actor that can portray the dramatic aspects of people's lives with some reminders of the real person. JB himself said no one could play him. I agree, but at least his life story finally made it to the big screen.
