I like this kind of client, writes detailed brief, and at least know what they really want. Many client open a contest with no idea.

Another priceless lesson by the boss. Thanks for all the info. I tried submitting a logo last saturday was happy with the result altough i didnt reach the finals but got a 3 star rating and it boosted my confidence. Looking forward for submitting more. You Gave some good tips in this video. But one thing i noticed when i watched a project is that some times the client chooses the winner that is far off the brief. But i will stick to the brief as you suggested. Keep it up. Thanks

That's a very amazing and smart way of teaching, instead of just telling you do this or that you're analyzing the WHY behind it, which in my opinion - and like you stated in the beginning of the video - is really crucial. Learning and primarily focusing on tools can only take you so far before you hit a roadblock of realizing that even though you've got the tools down you're not creating those amazing pieces that you see, and that's where videos like these comes into play and shine. It really helps with leveling up your brain analysis ability and artistic sense, and that's something that's greatly missed. As Joey from school of motion would say : "Don't fixate on learning the tools, learn the craft". So thank you for this amazing review, and I hope you keep them coming as I've really enjoyed watching it and learned from it. Keep up the great work 👏

If this is a coding festival but not a gaming festival why would choose the name Levels?

Thank you for this helpful video. I am looking forward to seeing more of this critique series.
If I can make a suggestion, I think it is important to note that design C2 did not incorporate the correct event name - it uses the word "Level" instead of "Levels", and would probably be rejected because of that. I believe it's the only logo you show that did not use the correct name, which is kind of a big mistake to me (but I'm still a beginner).

I'm generally concerned with this sort of approach to design. I think it's shallow and doesn't truly involve and engage the stakeholders nor does the designer understand the business and the people involved enough to produce work that solves the business problem for long-term nor at a high enough quality.
