I don't think this is a good casting choice. To take an established actor, who has already played an established character and cast him as a new character shows that they aren't confident on their directive vision and are relying on shock value and star power instead. RDJ will probably kill the role, but if he doesn't have a strong script to work off, his performance will fall flat.
