If you have a sick or injured bird in your possession I can not help this bird in any way it is strongly advised to contact a local vet or wildlife official before any decisions are made. It is very easy to do more harm than good when handling any wildlife.

I love Chickadees! They are one of my favorite birds, even though it is hard to pick a favorite bird :)

I finally got to hand feed a chickadee a few days ago. I have tried off and on for at least 20 years. What a joy to finally achieve success, they are charming little wonders.

I can’t get over how adorable Chickadees are; I have always loved them! Just yesterday I had one of my “regulars“ follow me from the feeder I was removing to fill, to the platform where I was filling it, back to where I was hanging it, chittering all the way! I didn’t even have it secured when he was on it grabbing his seeds! LOL Thanks for another great video!

While relaxing in the forest a chickadee landed in a branch just above me and did it's normal call chickadee Dee. I replied by saying fee-bee. Soon there were two and then four and then 10 and as many as 20. I felt like the chickadee whisperer.

Lesley, I loved this video! These videos must take so long to film, edit and narrate. I wish I had the passion, patience and skill that you have. Chickadees are my favorite birds, and in fact, one of the tasks on my bucket list is to hand-feed a Chickadee. Thanks so much for this amazing, and adorable video!

We have several Black-capped chickadees that frequent our bird feeder, especially now during the winter. I notice they tend to show up at the same time as the nuthatches and the titmouses (titmice?), sticking together in groups even with other species of birds that have similar size and habits. They are amazingly bold, I've had them take seeds from the feeder while I'm in the process of filling it. Love hearing their complex calls while I'm outside near the feeder tree, these are my favorite bird that we get here. It's hard to get a photo of them though, they never stick around, always just grabbing a seed and then taking it away somewhere else to eat.

Thank you for the chickadee vid, my favourite! Do you know if chickadees recognize faces? The other day when I just got home from work, I grabbed a handful of walnuts from the back porch and went out back to hand feed my little darlings. Well, they were acting weird. Making a combo seet/gargle sound. I spoke to them like I always do but they seemed unsettled. They would fly close by but not land. Then I realized....I was still wearing my mask! I ripped the mask off and within seconds they started landing on me. The mask muffled my voice as well as hid my face so I don't know which one, OR both, upset them. To help them with sleep, I bought 'roosting pockets' @ Dollarama, lined them with alpaca fur/hair and hung them in the tall, thick cedar hedge bordering my property. I also have feeders so everyone is well fed. I love all my birds but chickadees are my favourite.

My favorite small bird. They always seem so happy, and they have the courage of a lion. The easiest bird to get to sit on your hand. Just sit still, with sunflower seeds in your hand, and they will reward you with their company.

The only time I have seen a sawhet owl up close was thanks to a flock of chickadees that were furious in a balsam tree. I went up to the tree and moved a couple of branches, and came face to face with the tiny owl, who couldn’t care less I was only 3 feet away from him. Chickadees are my absolute favorite ❤️

For me, picking a favorite bird is like picking my favorite Beatles song. It can't be done, because just like BEATLE songs, there are so many wonderful birds.

They are the bravest birds. Always the first to the feeders. Love when they eat out of my hand, which is One of God's gifts IMHO.
