FrontRow Review: A Camera You Can Wear [But Should You?]

For years, I’ve had the nagging desire to review a wearable camera. But none of the boxy designs on the market has really spoken to me, and as cool as Snapchat’s Spectacles are, they have a lot of limitations. What’s more, “lifelogging,” or the practice of digitally documenting your daily life, hasn’t exactly taken the world by storm since it hit the mainstream a few years back.

So I was surprised to find out, earlier this summer, that a company best known for making WiFi routers has waded into the wearable waters to “redefine the camera.” The device in question is FrontRow, a pendant that comes across as a blend of pocketwatch and Android Wear wristwatch, but is actually a very sleek – and very pricey – wearable camera. I’ve been wearing FrontRow between Boston and Berlin for a little under two weeks; this is the MrMobile review!

MrMobile's FrontRow Camera Review was produced after twelve days with a FrontRow Camera review device on loan from Ubiquiti Labs. The device received no updates during the test period, and was exclusively used with a Galaxy Note 8.

Would be good for activism, anyone who is going to a protest, having a security device in your vehicle, useful when pulled over for example, concerts, big parties/raves where you really don't want to be walking with a phone in hand anyway, but wouldn't mind capturing the memory of being out in the woods or desert etc, but I seriously just see it as a set of extra eyes. It's a wearable camera that has the potential for more stealth while also being visible and not drawing the same sort of ire that Google Glass did, and that's going to be useful.

Poor image quality is a dealbreaker, really. Ohh and the price tag. Loved the outdoor shots and some new angles!

WOW, someone who actually knows, does the research and delivers a smart, complete and thorough review on whatever item they’re reviewing. Totally impressed and much appreciated. Definitely a welcomed change from the majority of “reviews” posted here on YouTube. The amount of work that you put into this one video is remarkable. I am a geezer in my mid-60's. I live in Thailand (over 25 years)-(my wife is in my age bracket also)-(both retired). I have many cameras and am a collector. I did find two of these cameras 'new' and under $210.00 Each. In, eBay. I personally do really love this camera & outfit. This is good quality construction and performance.
