I see what you are saying but the Bakkt contract price is completely different than the spot price on binance or coinbase. So unless there is an arbitrage opportunity to buy and sell then I don't see how this works for me. Is coinbase and every other exchange going to start using Bakkt as the venue for price discovery? To top it off, all these trades and settlements will be done OTC. So there will be no increase in volume on normal exchanges. I'm excited but skeptical.

Why would back tell the average Joe about the potential? From my perspective, it's obvious they don't want to inform the masses, so that the institutions can buy up as much as they possibly can, which will drive the price up, and then you'll see them pushing the masses to start buying as well. To push the price even further. Markets are more so about timing than anything else.

Personally, I think it's already priced in. Whales with inside knowledge who know things like this are launching would buy up crypto early. It's unregulated, so there's no deterrent to insider trading. That's how we went up to 14k with no significant news or developments in the first place.

Hey Tony great info as always....Yeah great to have Bakkt launch but no price jump but what’s nice is more mainstream coming in like u said. Only way we will see the steady up trends like we all want.. Need more adoption and fidelity, Goldman, TD etc.... coming in will get us where we want to be.. Still might be another year or so hope not but we are still on bottom steps.
