Canoe comes ashore as beachgoers watch early morning at Mokapu Beach in Wailea, Maui, Hawaii 4K

Two girls standing in the shoreline ocean water watch an early-morning canoe coming to shore, then continuing to be pushed up the sandy beach away from the ocean. We're in front of the Andaz Resort, and the riders were probably guests of the hotel. We see the shoreline filled with tall coconut trees.

In the distance we saw the uninhabited island of Kaho'olawe, and close to shore we say a finger of rocks going out to the ocean. It is all around these rocks that excellent snorkeling takes place. The underwater sights are so great here that even divers dive this area, many of them beginners having their first dive.

The ocean is so calm, and the sound of the gentle surf crashing on shore is so relaxing and so tropical. From this beach excellent sunsets can be seen when the sun goes down.
