My Aunt recently bought a new home and I had the opportunity to give one of the bedrooms a MUCH needed makeover! The room is actually for one of my favorite people, my Grandpa. I wanted to keep the room more neutral with wooden accents and a few DIYs. I really love how it turned out and can’t wait for him to see it in person when he moves in! I'm not a professional by any means but when we remodeled our small bedroom we put a tall, narrow chest inside the closet on one side so half hang space and half drawer space. Love the transformation.

How amazing that you created a bedroom for your grandpa!! Having this space is going to make his time in AZ feel seamless, instead of like he's "staying over" with your aunt. Loved what you did for your Grandpa! I am 80, relocating to share a home, with an old friend that recently lost her husband. My room is also quite small, lacks 2 walls, so using a large Kallax bookcase as one "wall" but still can't decide how the 3rd "wall" will work as it opens into the art studio. I will be using that area too, but need enclosed area as My space for sitting, sleeping, drawing, etc. So, right now it is opens onto the working art studio. Since we are both working artists, I will be using the clay part of the studio too. If you have any input, I have made many floor plans, but need some fresh ideas! Thks, Grandpa should be delighted with what you did!

That headboard looks like it can easily be like $2000 from some bougie furniture store and Drew just made it for a few bucks!
