Out of the 19 years he made this journal he somehow repeated himself 3x word for word and contradicted himself over and over.

Wondering if the translations are just overly modernized. Marcus would not have known what chess was (didn't get invented for another 500 years and then it was in India) so he wouldn't have used it as an allegory.
