This video helps with Diet Optimization problems for a linear program. This means minimizing costs while meeting problem requirements.

Example 1: A diet requires certain foods to be consumed in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Five foods are available for consumption: broccoli, asparagus, potatoes, chicken and fish. Each package of broccoli costs 1.00 per lb, asparagus costs 1.50 per lb, potatoes cost 1.75 per lb, chicken costs 2.75 per lb and fish costs 3.50 per lb. Each day one needs to consume at least 2000 calories, 50 g of protein, 40 g of fat and 3500 mg of potassium. The nutritional value of each food is shown in the Table. Please satisfy the nutritional requirements and minimize the cost of the goods purchased.

wait the constraint inequalty sign doesnt make sense. if it is AT LEAST 200 calories or AT least 50g of protein, should the sign be flipped to 2000 ≤
