I know it's not exactly a tangible present, but I think the best gift I've ever received was the opportunity to go to college from my mother. I live in the United States so college tuition can be very expensive, and I have a chronic illness that makes it hard to stand for very long periods of time so working isn't always easy. But I'm so beyond grateful for my mother and just how hard she works to be able to give me the gift and privilege of higher education. I can without a doubt say that the opportunity she has provided for me is the best gift I've ever been given. You've been my favorite artist for years now and seeing your work and videos pop up on my feed always brightens my day! Thank you for sharing your talent and creations with us, please remember to stay safe and stay healthy everyone!❤️

My best present would be an easel I got from my parents. All the nights I would stay up holding up a canvas in order to paint and to add details and this present pushed me even more to pursue art and realized that I had my parents support and that they were cheering me on with art. 🖼️

She was a great artist and is my inspiration! She always motivated me and helped me create art. These watercolors are the reason I got into painting and found your channel! I actually LOVE the marker textures you use! I almost never see people embrace marker texture; it's standard to blend the heck out of everything. But I also love ink drawings that use hatching to shade and show contour, so you've combined the best of both worlds here. I love, love, love your portraits!

The best present that comes to mind is when I was in college. I wanted to go into archaeology, and I found out last-minute about a study abroad archaeology program near Pompeii. But I had to come up with the funding basically on the spot, and I and my parents were broke, and it was way past the deadline for any scholarships. I remember sitting outside my apartment in a funk, trying to figure out what to do. Then my sisters' grandma called. She'd always treated me like I was her own grandkid, but this was the moment that really drove it home how much she cared for me. She said she'd just given money to each of my sisters, one for a down payment for a car, and the other to replace her laptop for school that had just kicked the bucket. So she asked, "If I gave you $1, 000, what would you use it for?" It was so serendipitous, I cried. Obviously it wasn't all the money I needed, but it made the trip possible. And that study abroad program was, I do not exaggerate, one of the best times of my life. My grandma gave me that amazing experience. I miss her quite a lot. 😢

Lovely work, as always. My best present was getting a trampoline when I was probably around 12. My parents always had a rule not to spend over a certain amount for birthday gifts, but they had made the exception when they bought me it. ❤ 20 years later and I still think of that time fondly.

My best present was a set of acrylic paints I got when I was 17 that I had been wanting since I was 10. I’m 66 now and the art dream is still alive. 😊

The best present I had ever received was my first watercolor palette from my mother. She knew how much I loved watercolor painting and the sketches I had always wanted to continue, but never got to painting them. I still use the same palette till this day as a junior in high school art classes. The connection it holds between me and mother really inspires me to continue in art! The best present I've received was my first sketchbook, from my brother. It was during the first year of the pandemic, everybody stuck in their own homes and I started to draw as hobby, in some old paper I found at home. I always tell my brother about the things I like to do or started doing, and he always supported me in my decisions. About a month after a told him about the drawings, he bought me a big sketchbook and some drawing pencils. The sketchbook it's already finished, but I still use what's left from his pencils and never stopped drawing till this day.

I had taken a break from large canvas painting due to starting grad school, so this gift helped me get back into art which was good for my mental health since grad school is so stressful. It is massive, but I can fold it and take it with me places which is a huge plus. 🎨 The WORST gift I’ve ever received was a scented candle from a friend, normally I like candles but this one smelled SO bad and gave me headaches so I had to give it away. 🕯️😅

Funnily enough, my wacom tablet I received for my exact 14th birthday is one of the best presents for me aswell. I used to work with a mouse in GIMP back then and the tablet opened up an ENTIRE new world for me.

My best present I’ve ever received is my first ever sketchbook. I didn’t like it at first because I was young and didn’t have any interest in drawing, but when I first put my pencil on the paper, I drew and eye and I fell in love. After many practices I’m very grateful for my mom giving me that sketchbook.
