Lady Ice is based on the fairytale "The Snow Queen". This project started back in 2005 and was released in 2010, BEFORE Frozen was even a pitch. I thank everyone who liked my film as much :)

This was a personal project that started as my final project for the Animation program at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Israel and after graduating I kept working on it to finish it alone.
Working on and off (weekends, holidays, etc) it took me about 5 and a half years to complete. This was a combined project of Liron Peer (Me, and I'm a woman btw!) and another guy, who dropped the project at an early stage and therefore all you see here was mostly done by me alone (I did the entire animation in the film).

And no, I do NOT work for Disney or any other large company (I'm a freelancer). I've already tried to apply to Disney via many ways, but they simply didn't want me or didn't have a position to offer me, and life went on.

I love how the art style is similar to Pocahontas and Brother Bear ( I absolutely loved their art. They and your animation are beautiful! Absolutely stunning!!!) and I'm pretty sure Frozen was based off of this.

Fuck Disney, start your own Animation Company your talented enough to. 5 years is pretty good for a solo project but with a team of 5 animators you could create a short in a year. Get on crowd fund for your future project.

I watched this as a child 10 years ago and rewatching it now as an adult makes me appreciate it even more. When Frozen came out, I thought it was based on this animation all along. But this even better. It had such a long lasting effect on me that the images and the story remained in my memory even after such a long time. I had to dig through my history to find this again. 😅

The movie frozen is just about an ice princess that goes rogue because she is salty. I did not relate that movie to this at all.
I interpreted lady ice as winter, as a season as a person. I'm assuming she fell in love with the man, and felt sorrow for killing his parents, and in because of that she became the biggest apology ever; a waterfall of tears. But that's just me XD
I ADORED this animation, and was immediately enthralled. I'll forever ship the dude and lady ice 💟
