Lansseax actually shows up as soon as you enter Altus Plateau from the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, but disappears after you fight him for a bit. Head to the location on the map, shown at the end, for the rematch!

This dragon (like most) is very weak to pierce damage. it's however very resistant to elemental damage, especially lightning damage. Furthermore it's relatively vulnerable to poison/rot/bleed/frost. Just thought this was also valuable information when people are struggling with this boss. Thumbs up if you agree.

If the dragon doesn't spawn, try resting until nightfall, then go back to the location.

This is gonna be a weird praise, but I really wanted to know if the Ancient Dragons Breathed fire too, or just wielded Lightning, and your video was the first one that showed Fortissax breathing fire. Thanks for that!

"Seax" is an Old English world for a type of knife/short sword and is where the word Saxons is derived from, so most likely this dragon's name is pronounced how it's spelled, Lans-Se-Ax. Especially since Fortissax and Placidusax both have that -ax sound at the end of their names.

I thought the dragon bugged out and it won't appear again. What a relief that it is just normal.

I found a way to cheese this dragon. It’s so weak to rot (I’m not sure if all dragons are afraid of rot or just some of them, but rot is working to all the dragons I tested so far)

1. Use the big stone to protect yourself by cycling around, where you start in the video (all the attacks from the dragon can’t go through the bunker)

2. Use dragon rot breath on horse

Whole battle will be finished within 2 mins

This dragon showed up for the first time for me when i first got onto the mountain coming from the lava dragon fight (sorry i don't remember the name of either) and i got him down to about half health and he oh so bravely ran away from me. I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or if it reset or what, i went to the site of grace and ran back up there and no, he didn't show back up again.

So yeah, he ran from me and i had no idea where he went, i was kicking the tar out of him too. Thanks for showing me where this coward ran away to so i can finish the job!

It annoys me so much that you can't lock onto the feet like every other dragon

Wild props to you for somehow managing to kill this boss while opening you inventory to feed grapes to your horse. Lordy!

If you ride to the top of the battlefield, the rocks plateau just below the ridge, he'll follow up to the edge but not drop off. I blasted him with Scarlet Rot and Black Flame, I was also able to swing a bit with the Regalia of Eochaid

What worked for me eventually was to run up to the highest point on the hill and jump down onto the first tombstone that's sticking out of the wall. The dragon followed me to the edge and attacked me but almost all the attacks missed me (since I was standing on a lower platform). From there I could easily spam spells and incantations till she died. Sometimes she would lose aggro and back away, but then I just had to jump 1 or 2 times (on horseback) and she would aggro again and come back to the edge.

I learned in DS3 the best way to fight Midir was by targeting his head, fighting him purely at the front as that game probably intended. I thought From would put the same logic into the dragons in Elden Ring but they feel so damn awkward

I died 5 times to the drake then looked for this guide watched it halfway through till 2:06 and killed him in under 30 seconds and without getting hit just once... thanks

Good to know! started fighting him in the original place and then he flew off. Now i know where to find him next hehe. I think its the same with the dragon (forget it name) at rannis rise. Started fighting him and then he flew away after a short while. But i think hes the same one you fight later if you follow rannis quest where it shows up before you get to ranni in the crater?

Getting back on the horse creates a lot of immunity frames. That's so helpful with this boss

I was watching this and gone for him. But funny thing happen, he flew to a lower layer of rock to a bit north and stuck trying to walk towards me so I just spam black flame on him while he stuck there and got an easykill🤣

I actually enjoyed fighting this guy off of horseback more than any others… probably because there’s a non boss version you have to eventually do it was designed to allow for it best
