Underwater with Huge Stingrays in Morro Jable, Fuerteventura

The enormous stingrays in Morro Jable Harbour have become a tourist attraction with crowds gathering daily to watch them from the quayside. In this video we show how things look from the ray's perspective as we get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures.

In this video two species of ray can be seen: the Round Fantail Stingray (Taeniura grabata) and the Roughtail stingray (Dasyatis centroura). Several other species are also commonly seen in the harbour at Morro Jable: the Spiny butterfly ray (Gymnura altavela), the Common Stingray (Dasyatis pastinaca), the Common Eagle Ray (Myliobatis aquila) and the Bull Ray (Aetomylaeus bovinus).
