If it wasn't clear enough through lyrics, the song is about "Suicide".
"The voices Died One by One as they called my name" - REFERENCE to losing consciousness as you bleed out or lose oxygen to the brain, also a reference to those mourning the pain of witnessing their loved one depart, maybe even arriving and witnessing one take their life as it's too late to even consider saving them.

"No longer led to believe, there is hope beyond this world, THE ROPE STARTS to SWAY" - REFERENCE, easy reference to a poor suicidal soul, seeking the ends to the life by means of Lynching / Hanging themselves. "The Rope starts to sway" implying a body swaying back and forth as you kick whatever you used to hold yourself up before eventually forcing the mechanism (Rope) to strap down and beginning strangling you.

"Now I Look Beyond the Black Eclipse, A macrocosm of the divine" - - REFERENCE potentially (Either or) a reference to the theory that there is absolutely nothing once we die, or a reference to a paradise. Again, whether a religious reference to a paradise or just a paradise devoid of any dogma their soul views everyhing beyond the universe (space/times) darkness and in another plane.

"The veil beyond cries my name" - REFERENCE, potentially a funeral, to loved ones, particularly a spouse, mourning the loss, now that their loved one is gone.


"I have left behind, all that I love and all who commit, my soul in the hands of destiny, Briefly embracing the chill of dimethyltryptamine, a struggle for many the end of few, a cancer that no mortal man can elude, I hang my sorrow with no dispute, just no I'm sorry I swear to you". - REFERENCE when folks commit suicide they leave family and loved ones behind (Sadly) in pain, the feeling once committed to suicide is that it is their only way out (My soul in the hands of destiny), to get it going quicker or by way of addiction, drugs were involved. A struggle for many, could be synonymous with either Drugs being a hardship or with the contemplation of suicide as well as the actuality that the relative (although still big in terms of mortality) few actually proceed with suicide. Again the reference to suicide and "death in general" (Soilwork song title reference, JK) being the inevitability that no Mortal at the current moment can escape, whether at infancy or as old as one can live. the last line, references, that once fully committing and no longer unable to back out to the death occurring simultaneously, it is a duality that the person must accept and fight but to leave behind their apologies for not being able to avoid the tragedy.

Wow this was hard to write, without tearing up, because last year I struggled with just the suicidal ideation thoughts, and as Ben Duerr (Vocalist) mentioned, this song brings the thoughts of what it would be like to really leave and the pain it inflicts those around you.
