I'd rather we buy the mig 35 technology blueprints and know why, for the same price we will be spending on rafales...and start mass producing Migs(say 15 to 20 squadrons) they are more than enough to take on most of the chinese aircrafts and totally dominate pakistani aircrafts...the key point here is to be able to mass produce them at large scale...since quantity has quality of its own.

It's important for India to deliberately violate some clauses of Indus water treaty to make Pakistan behave and to sensitize the global community about Pakistan's continued indulgence in terror export.
Pakistan is placed strategically on the geopolitical strata. All major players like US, Russia, China, OIC, Turkey among others are giving tacit support to Pakistan in self-interest. Nobody is giving a damn to India's miseries in facing up to cross-border terror.
The rogue Islamic state is using this unfair advantage to heap agony on India and by resorting to nuclear blackmail.

It's a difficult road ahead for India. It's important for India to fight her own war by bringing pressure on world community and forcing Pak to mend her ways..
This is possible only if substantial amount of water is diverted to irrigate J&K, Himachal Pradesh and other neighboring states and make Pakistan cringe out of water shortage.
Pakistan should either fully dismantle terror network or face crippling water shortage.

The world community should immediately take this fact into cognizance and put pressure on Pak to give up terror.

In Single engine fighters my choice is either Gripen or F-16 block 70 (F16 is old design but combat proven fighter aircraft only tech transfer is a issue which has to be sorted out). On the other hand if a twin engine fighter is chosen then it's either Rafale Euro fighter or F-18 Super Hornet. No more flying coffin Migs

Mig 29 is still one of the best n most agile aircraft in the world..MMRCA 2 will take a long time..n because of IAF has shortage of squadron now..I think they should go for another squadron of Mig 29..So we will have 42(2 squadron) mig 29🇮🇳

India must take advantage of Sweden in defense trade n other areas of importance. Gripens, Sweed Naval stealth Sub n RBS-70 SAM MANPAD to shoot down low flying aircraft drones n chopper must be reviewed. If we don't go for F-16 block 70 then Gripen is my choice in single engine fighters in MMRCA 2. 35 more Rafale's can be purchased later if need arises.

Both F16 & F18 have had airframe strength upgrades which have increased life of airframe & also reduced per hour operating & lifecycle costs. I could be mistaken but I don't believe SAAB has done this and I am a bit surprised at this. If SAAB did the same thing and increased airframe life and reduced per hour and lifecycle costs this would make the already very competitive Gripen even more so & could potentially be a decisive factor for India to choose Gripen along with the fact there is an aircraft carrier version. Rafale are very good jets but if you compare the price difference of an ALL Rafale purchase for both Airforce & Aircraft Carrier the difference is massive. Looking at the money that India has forward budgeted for Military budget the mathematics simply aren't viable for an all Rafale purchase but with the massively lower price of the Gripen it would be Quite feasible. SAAB is also offering VERY generous terms as far as T.O.T ( Transfer of Technology) goes. It will be interesting to see which path the next Indian Government chooses to take. Also if SAAB & the Swedish Government were prepared to take a little bit of a calculated risk by advance manufacturing a relatively small number of jets (say about a dozen) with a gov't guaranteed export subsidy to ensure SAAB at least broke even in case India didn't choose Gripen, this could also make the Gripen more attractive to India as they would know they would get their initial "off the shelf" purchase VERY quickly.

What's the benefit of so much of defence equipments and collaborations when we can't safeguard our brave soldiers? And we can't take actions against terrorists at any cost?? It's a shameful situation
