So I did some digging around and found some possible reasons why Cobblemon might not be working for some (I have the base game working):
1. Make sure CurseForge that you are using is 1.20.1. I had this problem and it (embarrassingly) had me stumped for a while.
2. Make sure that your allocated RAM is higher. I put mine to 4GB and it has worked since.
3. Get rid of any other mods in the mod folder. Some might not work alongside Cobblemon so that might be the issue

when i select java on open with, it asks me if i want to make changes to my device and no matter which option i choose, it says check that the commands are valid and try again.

ive downloaded forge, but whenever I try to open it with java it will not open, there's a quick screen that I can see pop up for half a second then it goes away, im not sure what im doing wrong as the java i downloaded is the same as what you're showing, ive tried downloading java in other ways too, none of them working, ive tried opening forge with minecraft launcher, and all that does is just bring me to the minecraft launcher page with forge not installed on it. Not sure whats wrong and what to do.

i need help like a lot, when i do all that it tells me to use an app i try using my microsoft store, internet exploer(comes up blank with it in its url) and idk where to go from here idk about jack from coke about this kind of thing can anyone help?
