I can understand the appeal behind putting in a battle pass, and it's always important to make sure that you have enough monetization to continue the game, but featuring that in your trailer rather than addressing some crucial bugs that need to be and hopefully will be fixed seems to have damaged some people's view of the game. Just a thought.

The current state of the gaming industry is really disappointing. You have to figure this: If you can unlock something with a price tag attached to it by "playing the game", the real cost is YOUR TIME, because the suits will tell the developers to pad the game and get you to spend money.

I’d be much more likely to buy back in with stuff like battle passes if I wasn’t limited to playing with my PC friends who were over it a while back instead of my console friends who haven’t tried it yet. Valheim is expanding into cross play next year, why is this off Conan’s table?
