Not much here for my 2017 model. But I see you have that 'sensitive' volume slider issue. Has become annoying lately. And I cannot turn on HDMI volume because then my volume rises and falls while watching .

Thanks Triple M. It took my Shield TV tube close to 10 minutes before it reconnected the memory card and another 2 to go back to the home screen. Of course it was unresponsive the whole time and I was just about to freak out when it came back. My update is set to auto so good advise on checking out that option.

All reports indicate that this update has June security patch but the security patch I have is April 5 2022, I just wondering.

I allowed the upgrade yesterday because I disabled the automatic option. Two upgrades ago I didn't have it disabled and it whacked out my soundbar system so severely that I had to do a factory reset which takes about a hour. Now I always disconnect the soundbar before upgrading because I'm not going through that again. I had sound issues for a few minutes before everything returned to normal after reconnecting the soundbar. I hated the Shield when I first bought it because there were numerous nonstop issues with it but all the issues have stopped and it performs flawlessly. I now have zero complaints. Nvidia Shield TV rules.

I have upgraded to 9.1 on my model P2897 version 11 shield and as posted on your site for every other upgrade I had major issues that took several days to get things working again. I am happy to report that this upgrade seems to have been the first that installed without any issues. I did notice using Plex that I did experience a cutting out of sound for about 3 second intervals occurring every 3 or 4 times a minute. The video did not freeze or skip during the audio voids. This was present while viewing live over the air tv via Plex on several channels. I switched directly to my HomeRun and viewed the same channels and the audio was playing just fine. I switched back to Plex and viewed the same channels and the audio was cutting out as before. After about 30 to 45 minutes this cleared up and has not returned. As you may recall I use my shield to stream and as a plex server with DVR abilities and previous updates trashed my Plex and extended usb drive storage. This upgrade so far is not causing any lasting issues.
So far so good. Please update us on how others are doing with the update. Your coverage of these updates is very helpful to us. Keep up the good work!

Before Upgrade or Update a $15 tomb raider was available after not being available for over a year but only for a few months but after update it is no longer available for download like many i wanted to upgrade storage to SSD and did not think that the tomb raider would be removed from the play store unlike when I downloaded it from what was a Nvidia app store and now just a game streaming service and no game available for purchase as before.

I've been trying to install for a couple weeks but it would never install. When I clicked the install icon after downloading it would just go back to the home screen. I finally gave up and did a factory reset and it installed correctly. Now I'm having problems disabling\uninstall useless apps. They let me click disable or uninstall but they stay active anyway.

The only issues I have is that when I'm watching a movie and I put it on pause the Nvidia shield will start play music from the tune in radio app for some strange reason, I would like to see a video showing how these feature work but not the YouTube 5.1 non Dolby Atmos .

How do you get the garbage previews and menus off the main screen. I use the same few apps all the time and don't want this to look like my spam filled amazon firestick. This is horrible.I had auto updates off but it did it anyways.

You might see a firmware update for the remote ... "Settings" - "Remotes & accessories" - "SHIELD accessories" - "SHIELD remote 1" (if you hadn't renamed it) - should show Firmware version v1.15 or an option to update to 1.15.
