I've been diving since July of 2003. I my self use to dive with a hookah system. And I loved my 4 hookah systems... No problems with them... Then I've got out of diving, Now going back into it. I just wanted to tell you all that is a paint ball tank. You can get those like for under 50 bucks plus the tank regulator that screws into the tank. IDK how much you payed for all of this??? But I just wanted to tell you thats all. You can probably get it way cheaper same products. I wish you all of the best with your scuba adventures!!!!

I've been out on a couple dives with the 2 liter smack and I really enjoyed myself. I did the PADI online course, but then when COVID hit they closed down all the places where I could get under water certified. Now the prices to do that have doubled. I'll stick with this until I can get the underwater certificate. I watched the video primarily because of the compressor. I'd like to fill the bottle myself, but my main concern is purifying that air.

Thanks for your video I found it really helpful - you mentioned that you didn't like the oil/moisture filter on your pressure filler hose to the tank - would you mind explaining why and what you replaced this with?

Love the video. I'm still looking for the Aruba video. Aruba sounds fun. Thanks I set mine up with ur video. But still need the pump. I've owned 3 spare air tanks from my previous Army Ranger Battalion and no you don't need to be scuba certified for this kind of diving. I just can't stand that one dude that does not like these tanks and spare air. Does not know what he's talking about. These tanks are worth the money. Plenty of time underwater. Yes I didn't go more than 30 feet but still thats enough for me.

I bought a set up close to this, but I am a certified diver. I encourage all to get certified as i see many missing things here. What is you max weight for netural boyancy here? Have you tested this in a controlled enviroment before hitting open waters? What is your back up air supply?
Even in ten feet, could cause death. Say your equipment here fails at 30 ft. You would not want to shoot straight up. Trapped air in your body can cause a heart attack or stroke.
You need the training. You need more equipment. A redundant air source is most def needed. This bottle is good for about ten minutes. At deeper depth, about 3 minutes.

I like the smaco s400. If the temperature rises today to the 70s. I will pool dive today. As i send this message. Is almost 60 degrees out. But is sunny and beautiful. Blue skies. With the sun.. it shouldnt be that bad. I am thinking about doing a tank switch for my video. Diving with the smaco and having my dive loose at the bottom.of the pool. And just do a regulator swap demostration underwater.

Hey dont forget to buy a small tube of regular white toothpaste.Colgate classic. And also take a small bottle with with dish soap. These 2 items u use them to coat your mask lenses. It will prevent your mask from fogging up. U first apply a bit toothpaste on each lense and rub it all the way. Then after you rinse it, apply a bit of dish soap, spread it with your fingers. And for rinsing. Just open the water with very little pressure and move the stream around your lenses. No fingers. Just move the mask in slow circles. Spill the water out and re rinse if necessary till the water is no longer soapy. U can also apply a bit of soap by the pool or beach. Rub it and just rinse with the salt water. Moving the mask at the rop of the water and drain it.

nice set up. I wonder how long it would take to fill up a 80cu tank with that pump???

By the way. I recommend you to apply some teflon tape to both threads. Between Mouth piece on the hose thread. And the thread that screws into the tank. To avoid either connections to loosen up on you, with movement under water. Trust me, , do it. By the way, , Get yourself a Tuxing filtration system. Tuxing purify the air, besides removing moisture.

So many things could go horribly wrong with this system. NUMBER ONE is that the cylinder is potentially a bomb. The pressure is enormous in any scuba system and the chances of an explosion are high especially if there is any contamination (grease, oil, etc.). NUMBER TWO is that proper breathing air compressors have an elaborate filtration system consisting of a moisture trap and filters containing activated charcoal and moisture-absorbing granules. These filters need to be renewed often to keep the air quality of the breathing air safe. NUMBER THREE, hand tightening the pillar valve (the part that is screwed into the top of the cylinder - the bit you did not know the name of) is not good enough, it needs to be tighter than that- ( I have personally witnessed a pillar valve shoot off of a cylinder that had just been filled. The operator had failed to notice the valve was turning loose by itself due to the increase in pressure, the valve went straight through his hand as he grabbed it to pick it up and the cylinder spun around due to the escaping air injuring a second person and causing a huge amount of damage to other cylinders and the compressor). NUMBER FOUR - high-pressure cylinders fall under the DOT and by law need to be internally inspected by a qualified inspector once a year and hydrostatically inspected every 4 or 5 years depending on what country you are in. Any person who operates a high-pressure compressor must be certified by the relevant authority of the country or state they operate in. Lastly, NUMBER FIVE scuba diving is a safe recreational activity as long as the person has had some training by one of the recognized certifying agencies such as NAUI, PADI SSI to name a few. The problem with this system being used by someone who has no training is that one litre of air at 230 bar will last the average person only a few minutes and if this system is used as the primary air source an untrained person is at very high risk of a barotrauma related injury if they suddenly find themselves unable to breathe while still at depth and shoot toward the surface not knowing that it would be necessary to exhale while ascending. FYI I have been in the scuba industry for over 30 years having owned and operated a scuba charter business, have filled hundreds of thousands of cylinders, done over 8000 dives and have been a scuba instructor since 1990 - NAUI 12883.

How did the gear work out?
I live on my yacht in the Philippines, and am looking for small-scale gear that will let me free a stuck anchor, or inspect the prop or hull for damage.
What are your thoughts, would it work?
Tnx for the informative video, this might be just what I've been looking for. Cheers...
