Toyota Developed A Liquid Hydrogen Combustion Engine

Can Toyota save the combustion engine? They’re one of few companies to develop a liquid-hydrogen engine. You get all the noise and excitement of a gas engine, without the carbon emissions. How does it work? Liquid hydrogen is stored in a tank at -253 degrees Celsius. That hydrogen is pumped into a vaporizer, turning into a gas, where it is eventually pumped all the way to the engine cylinders, operating much like a gasoline engine would.

Last time i researched hydrogen for an electrolisis storage setup, from memory back then. Hydrogen is extremely porous and will find every microscopic hole, crack, fracture or weld seam and seep and thus over time leak down, and to store as much as possible a super fine mat or mesh of material is put inside the storage tank or cylinder to help arrange to hydrogen on a nano scale to more effeciantly store more in the same amount of space.
