Hey there! We're Joe + Kalyn!

As online entrepreneurs, we thought, "why not work from home... on the road"? So in 2019, we bought and renovated a 2005 Jayco Designer Fifth Wheel, which took us to every state in the lower 48. But the economy hit our business especially hard after the 'vid, spurring us to pivot in new directions and try different strategies, including various RV work camping jobs!

We recently funded the biggest RV trip of our lifetime—Alaska. Subscribe to our RV living channel to find out what's next! We love boondocking in remote locations, adventuring through the national parks, and uncovering hidden gems, all while sharing the reality of full-time RV Life and making you laugh along the way.

I'm going to apologize in advance because I am going to make multiple comments on this video that are not necessarily related.

I made a comment on your last video about your sponsorship mention. Confession: I watch more YT content than I should admit. You guys find a way to make the sponsorship relevant that I have not seen from ANY other channel. As a viewer, I appreciate it being relevant to the situation and not just a "canned" commercial that I would normally just skip. I don't know if your partners (Surfshark in this case) appreciate this nuance, but it is really the difference in me watching it and considering the product or being annoyed by it. I think it is probably more challenging than you guys make it appear to make it "fit", but you guys have figured this out better than any other channel I watch.

I can't think of a better honor than to put Maxine's recipe on her gravestone. In fact, I'm wondering if I can figure out a way to honor my mother like this. Thank you for sharing this with us and making her cookies. I can imagine that she had plenty more recipes that her family loved.

I absolutely enjoy every single video you guys produce. You are playful with each other, make mistakes and walk us through them, visit wacky places, and appear to be two of the most sincere and down-to-earth people on YT. Thanks for taking us everywhere in North America! Safe travels.

You guys are so awesome and entertaining! I love your great videos. I love watching Trinity as well because you guys were gracious enough to give her a fabulous life even though you weren’t really dog people. It’s heart warming to know she was a stray in the middle of nowhere and could very well have died in a miserable manner but she is now living a wonderful life with you two. Thank you for opening up your lives to her

My wife and I just found your channel. We live in Iowa and saw the I80 truck stop thumbnail and had to click on it. We love your videos and have subscribed and are now binge watching your channel. Glad that third time is a charm for your channel. Congratulations!

I appreciate whoever recommended Joe to use ice cubes in the black tank. They used this platform to share it to so many other people. What a great idea!!! Thank you for all involved! Haha. Awesome, Awesome channel

On Find A Grave, you can lookup her memorial. There is a link there to an Article on The Gazette that says it was not "over my dead body" but to share something special of their mother per her daughter.

I love this wacky attraction series. The tombstone recipe was a sweet tribute to that lady, and I thought it was great that y'all made the cookies!

I agree with you....the popcorn ball lacked the part about being a ball. LOL
Its great that you tried the cookies, what a unique thing to put on a tombstone.

One in another fun video! Thank you for making Maxine’s cookies. It was so sweet that her family shared her recipe on her head stone.

Why are you guys not on Travel Channel? You should have your own show. Content editing is definitely at the pro level.

Just found you a week ago, binge watching all your videos (well the non-member ones). So informative, so fun, you two are a delight. I mean, where else are you going to watch a poop water comparison video?! LOL. I soooo appreciate the quality of your video and especially your audio. Keep it up, I'll keep watching.

Love your content. I might suggest that you put a 90 degree elbow on your fresh water inlet, it helps relieve the pressure put on it by the weight of the hose. As far as a new RV, I have a 2023 Jayco and have been fixing things since I brought it home(broken at the factory fittings, ground wires on black and gray tanks NEVER hooked up at the factory and loose fittings. Thanks for bring us along on your adventures.

I agree Joseph (for once LOL!). The popcorn ball looks like a bowl of popcorn. It should stand on it's own!

Oh my heart was beating a bit faster as you traveled through Iowa. I’m from Missouri and I have family members in Iowa. Haven’t been back there since 2018. Seeing the small towns just made me happy. I come from a tiny hamlet. I’ve never been to the truck stop but if I ever get back to Iowa I am going to check it out. I have to get cheese curds in Kalona anyway. And I haven’t been to the Amana colonies in years.

Just love how excellent your videos are. So professional Joseph. You guys cannot fail to continue to gain supporters. So glad you are continuing.

I have been a truck driver for over 30 years and have been to that truck stop many of times . If I remember correctly that there is a sign when you enter the TV and movie rooms that say CDL holders only. A lot of truck stops have CDL only sections so keep an eye out for those . A lot of Truck drivers have a negative attitude towards RVers because they take advantage of things that are not meant for them. Drivers have time schedules and hours of service and rest limits. If spaces meant for them and one or more RVers are in those spots they could end up late for appointment and/or a citation for hour of service rules. This also includes Lounge areas and full service restaurants. Iowa 80 doesn't restrict laundry facilities to Professional drivers but a lot of other places do even tho they aren't always enforced . Nationally there are not enough truck stop or truck parking areas for the number of trucks on the road. This applies more so on the east coast and near big cities. The term "Truck Stop" implies the primary purpose for the facility is to serve Trucks and the professional driver. I am Semi retired (no Pun intended) I am hoping some day to get an RV and see place I couldn't see from a truck. Till then I have to settle for RV channels.

Wow I couldn't believe that you found my comment from 7 months ago about the ice and the black tanks lol looks like it did a real good job!

I stayed at that same RV in Monticello. My experience was different it was in October and they were closed for the year but they let me stay there for a week and my door open right to the little creek or river or whatever. The only thing is over the weekend a big rig pulled in and the place filled up with cars and people were outside watching a Iowa game.. yelling and screaming... Was really loud.. of course with drinking... But then after that it wasn't too bad, like I said it was closed and I was the only one there. The downtown was really cute and it had a cute little grocery store so I thought it was a nice little town.. but that's at least 6or7 years ago. Trinity look like she had fun in the wash! Lol

For anyone who may need the gospel: 1st Corinthians 15: 1-4, Romans 10:9, 10 John 3: 15-17.

God bless you and yours and all my brothers and sisters out there and across the world! 😇 Even so, come Lord Jesus!! ✝️🙏✝️
