okay so every time i listen to this song i think of an encounter between two people who have never met each other before. i think of love at first sight. and you know the part in this song where everything escalates, but then the sound gradually disappears? well it reminds me that it was just an encounter, a momentary thing. and their ways part again. and theyll never meet each other again; just an encounter.

You put your hand up to the window and let the light shine through your fingers. You turn around to go back to sleep. And there they are. The person that made you come and listen to this song. They're just lying there, hair falling over the soft sleeping face, small breaths escaping their mouth. You reach out, and push the hair out of their closed eyes. They wake, and look at you. Their eyes are sticky with tiredness. "I love you." they wisper, as their lips touch yours. The kiss takes you over. Pure happiness flows through your veins. The skin tingles on your back. Your heart beats fast, and you are trapped in this moment of a just a few seconds. That's where it takes me.

I love how they use snippets of An Encounter throughout their tracks on the album. It just links the whole story this album is telling ❤️ Go back and listen to each track and you can hear bits of an encounter in each song. It's pure genius 😍
