This is how you do an actual build-up instead of just rushing into it. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles have had their development throughout the whole movie and their stories converge and pay off. Wish other franchises would learn from this.

It’s crazy how jim carrey and the people who made this movie truly nailed eggman in live action. Instead of trying to do a realistic bad guy and making more deep because it’s live action, they kept robotnik/eggman be as goofy and over the top like the games. This is why i really hope jim will be there in sonic 3.

I never thought I'd see the day when a movie adaption of a video game is not only *good* but actually has better characterization than the games themselves! I'm speaking mainly about Knuckles, and how he's portrayed here accurately: strong, loyal, and wily, but (not to be confused with *stupid*) naive. The modern slew of games have made a complete mockery of his character, turning him into a 1-note big dumb tough guy you could mistake for hundreds of other characters. I feel like they nailed Knuckles' personality here, matching how I perceived him in S3&K.
