It's about time they stopped these doctors from popping there head in your room saying hi how your feeling today and you end up getting a friggin bill from them! The health system is so crooked!

Glad they passed this. This happened to me. My insurance said they covered a hospital but I was left with a bill for the xray staff, the physician, the treatment, the tests. So in short, my insurance did NOT cover that hospital.

A car crash that wasn't our fault, has cost over $80, 000 in medical expenses. If I didnt have a lawyer working on my case I would have had a serious meltdown already, and I've come close WITH their help... its rediculous how expensive it is to get medical treatment in an emergency. I didn't have a choice in the ambulance company or hospital, none the less the course of treatment or what doctors were chosen. I shouldn't be punished when I pay twice for insurance. (Car and Medical).

My son has no insurance and he had a 9mm kidney stone, bleeding kidney and was septic. His 2 time hospital stay was nearly $50, 000. Thankfully the hospital worked with us, but he had a Dr that charged him $250 office visit, he never saw him, then the Dr came to his room each day for about 30 seconds, left and charged him $150. Now, 9 months after the hospital stay, we suddenly get a $300 bill for diagnostic tests. I despise that.

They did that here in Utah. You got charged for the hospital visit, then they charged you for the doctor, then the test, and whatever other services they double billed you. Then to top it I got attacked by a detoxing patient that they felt needed to be in the hospital and not a detox unit. Sent the bill to collections, then didn't even pay for rehab on my shoulder. Then when look look at the code they coded it as a wrist fracture. The nurse Stephanie at the time told me to take the man off the in a Gerri chair, then I got trapped between the wall and chair on medsurge. Then then diabetic cordnatior at the time came in mid way through and told me to take him back . Then as I was in the emergency room, kept getting pages from medsurge wanting to know we're I was, I was in the er trying to get treatment. But nothing was healed . Just like when I injuired my foot, went to the rehab, and they put a boot on it. No therpy nothing. All therpy is medically necessary according to Medicare and Medicaid . These come from federal funds not religious tax deductible. And we know the hospital is a global network right on over to South Carolina. So I smell fraud, abuse, harassment, negligence, and malpractice. Not to mention the multiple pshylogical abuse. And slander of my name. Or the best one sexual harassment Mr spraugue respiratory therapist whistle as I bent down to tie my shoe. Then came in to give a treatment as I was taking vitals and encouraged the man in the bed to feel up my backside. Guess it's ok when your wife works in administration hunh- later he became my patients. Whats even worse they hired the detoxing man as the house keeper. Guess easier to hire someone under the influence to cover up they don't pay aides, but use students to save hours, hey nurses now, remember I'm the one who taught you. Guess we know why they don't know what they doing. Statue of limitations don't run out, especially when you broadcast a name all over. Paper trail check., Castle view hospital, life point allfilte, price, Utah, even believe there's a sister company Nevada.

Whoa, that's alot to pay for, hospital visit, doctors appointments, meds, it all adds up, so if you don't have insurance you don't get treated? Is that how it works there?

Now if only congress would pass a universal health care bill.

The fact that this actually had to become a law is crazy. It should be common decency not to do this.
