For anyone going to visit please avoid touching, climbing, or sitting on the Stromatolites, refrain from striking them with any object or jumping off them. Maintain a respectful distance to prevent any potential harm. They may look like rocks, but they are literally living fossils. <3

Hi guys. Can i ask how you found driving there and back and also in general around the yucutan peninsula? We are going in just over a week to holbox, Mujeres, playa del carmen and ending in tulum but have read so many things about driving over there and how corrupt it can be by being stopped by corrupt police or people acting to be police.
