Battleship Butte // Grand Canyon South Rim Off Trail

Michael and I hadn't made it too the canyon this year so, we decided to get up there before the season is over. As far as weather goes we could not have picked a better day. I had my doubts with contradictory weather forecasts, but somehow Michael knew it would be perfect.
Battleship Butte extends north right of Bright Angel trail about 2000 feet below the rim just dipping into in the Hermit Formation above the Supai Group layer. This was such a fun route with mixed hiking, 3rd, and 4th class scrambling. This day was much needed for both Michael and I. every once in a while you need to heal the soul in nature, and I can't think of a more sacred, grand, and majestic place.

This and Coronado Butte from your previous video are my highest priorities on the South Rim, so it's nice to know what to expect.
