The latest IPCC report requires greenhouse gas emissions to peak by 2025. While there isn’t a specific focus on emissions reductions for music events, the industry is uniquely positioned to catalyse climate action. Not only do music events provide a test bed for research and experimentation, the way in which people are brought together has the potential to encourage a sense of collective agency, empowerment, and community - essential ingredients for solving climate-related challenges.
On April 20, join us online during MIT’s Earth Day celebrations as Involved Group, a London-based electronic music enterprise including Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep and MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI) join forces for a special live virtual panel conversation.
‘Opportunities for Sustainability in Live Music Events’, is an open conversation on the role of the music industry in supporting a climate-positive future. This event will take place online and feature participation from artists, music fans, industry professionals, and academia.
