TY, for this post, worked a treat. the final step misses out you having to remove all the adhesive tape from the main tape that goes to the circuit board connector. Also make sure you heat the screen for a long time before removal and remove from the top. The bottom of the screen extends further than the surround so can't be lifted straight out. Finally, I did it without tutorials. It's just like all HTC Desire ;) So look for "dissasembly glass Desire HD", it has so many video-manuals.

You, sir, are completely right! The screen removal is nowhere near as easy as what is depicted here. Heating it up helps, but NOT with a hair dryer. Use a hot air soldering station and set it to the lowest temp (or somewhere in the range of 160-200 C). Even then you will need to use excessive porce to pry the screen away from the body.

i wana replace just the digitizer... do i need to disassembly all the phnoe, or its is enough to heat and replace it? my lcd works, no bad pixels, just my digitizer broked...

I need to replace my sd card reader could you post something showing how? Or is it relatively simple once you have the unit off that you showed how to remove in the video? Personally I'd say a perfect video would involve all the components of the phone labelled at different time markers on the video so that you know if you want to replace one of them you have to follow all the previous steps. This video seems to miss out some components you could disassemble like the sd card reader.

The phone on the video has already been disassembled. I can see no way to remove the digitizer without breaking the LCD in the original phone. The LCD is sticked to both digitizer screen from the front and to the chassis from the back. No chance to separate them without breaking both.

Some time ago my phone broke the screen. So I decided to fix it alone. I saw your video and help too but I do. You must follow these steps to remove the screen from the mobile or are different?

Well, it did not go well for me, the LCD broke :(
I wonder if its at all possible to remove the digitizer without breaking the LCD, they are completely glued together. What about putting the phone in the oven at say, 80 degrees C for 30 minutes? I used a hair dryer, but its not warm enough, obviously.

I've tried to disassemble my Desire X using this video and am having problems. At 2:58 the video shows the circuit board more or less dropping out of the phone but on mine, despite following every step closely, the board is fixed solid. I don't want to apply too much force in case something breaks. Is there a knack to getting the board out or is there something you haven't shown in this video?

The glass and LCD are NOT fused on the Desire X, its a simple removal of the glass with enough heat from the heatgun, the glass is only glued on its outer edge where it sits in the front frame, should take a minute to remove with a isesamo, needs a lot heat from the gun it will then lift fairly easily. I repair these all week long, they are not fused to the lcd like the 4, 4s and 5 iphones which are almost impossible to split. replacemyscreen.co.uk

Not sure if it varies by country, but my Desire X has Torx T4 screws, not Phillips size 0.

Pre tych co si myslia ze to spravia doma: je to rychly navod ako si odj*bat mobil.. v domacich podmienkach je nemozne odlepit displej od krytu, je tam fakt dobre lepidlo, nie ako vo videu. Vymena samotneho sklicka (digitizeru) tak isto, s displejom je zlepene po celej ploche, nie len po okrajoch. Robim drobne opravy ale po vlastnej skusenosti by som dal toto do ruk iba odbornikovi.
