Bullet In The Head appears on Sodom's fifth album Tapping The Vein. Originally released on Steamhammer Records in 1992 it was produced by Harris Johns. The lineup on the album was Tom Angelripper, Andy Brings and Chris Witchhunter.

Tapping the Vein is Sodom's most underrated album, with great songs from start to finish, a true classic of extreme metal and where you can see all the virtuosity of Chris Witchhunter on the drums. I hope that with the remastering Tom reconsiders playing more songs from this album, which is a gem in Sodom's discography.

This not only sounds remastered but remixed. Those drums never had such punch and the instruments distinction is a lot better. I rarely buy such reissues but this one is interesting.

Finde ich total großartig von Dir das Du Dich hier so kümmerst um die alten Bands und vor allem SODOM. Mann ich weiß noch genau wie ich mir die Tapping zugelegt habe damals 1992 in Wien im Vergin Megastore, da war ich so knapp 18 und totaler Metalhead. Ich hörte nicht nur die Musik, ich atmete ich lebte Metal und es war noch geil damals. Die letzten Ausläufer mit zu erleben. SODOM Live gesehen in München damals, in Wien gab es noch Metallokale wie das Rock Inn, Meggido, Graffiti, Rock Pub uvm. Das Rock House wo wöchentlich 4 Konzerte waren, ein Traum. Kein Grunge, kein Nu Metal, kein was weiß ich Abklatsch nur Pure Fucking Metal. Ein Jahr später war dann ja alles auf links gedreht und für'n Arsch. Ich vermisse die Zeiten, meine ganze Kohle steckte ich beim Rock Tiger in Wien in Platten, CD's, Videos und Shirts, es war nur geil.
