Steve in Eugene Oregon. Nicely put Lyle. I’ve been an auto tech and heavy equipment mechanic my entire career and I 100% agree with all your recommendations about gas and letting vehicles sit. I wish more people understood how important this because bringing a fuel system back to good working order can at times be overwhelming! Great info and good advise! We think C&S corvettes is spot on with all their technical info! Thanks again!

Dutch, in California, thanks for the video. I own a 2013 Grand Sport, with a manual transmission. About eight months ago I had surgery that has really made it difficult to drive my car. This video really hit home, because only recently I have been able to get back to driving. Before the surgery, I did fill the tank, and added stabilizer, and now I’m thinking that I should get the car out and take a long drive before the gas gets wonky. Right now, I think it’s still okay.
Again, thanks for what you do. Great Job!

Mike in Los Angeles here, and thanks for all the great Corvette videos! Recently bought a beautiful one-owner 2003 Speedway White base convertible (of only 308 built that year) with 70K pampered miles, and your videos played an integral role in that purchase. Love the car - many thanks!

David in NYC / Long Island New York. Even though I'm very experienced in the automotive world, over 25 years now, my brother and I have been pulling, replacing, & building engines, etc etc since our early teens, & now build some very high performance engines, suspensions & some extreme fabrications. And I have been following you for a while now, never seen wrong information given, and to be honest as much as I know, I can still learn, & I have too. From this channel too. I bleed & breathe Corvette! Since I was a child, even being around a Corvette was like being in the presence of something divine. I was captivated & memorized since. The Corvette is the absolute greatest car in the world. Yes better than Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, etc etc. because as nice as these are they will never do what the Corvette does for me. And I actually like every year. I love the Corvette! And so I can never get bored of this channel. Lol! No but for real. Of course I own one, a c4, base 1991 coupe, that now has way over $100k worth of upgrades & modifications with me doing all the work myself except for the engine /transmission machine work type of stuff. Almost done after a few years, & is coming soon. (To theaters near you ).

I’m currently getting the $2000 lesson on bad gas. I bought my 1990 Corvette a little more than a year ago. I put five or six tanks of 91 octane in it during that time. I think I drove in every month, but probably not enough. My fuel pump recently went out and I think I’m getting fuel system overhaul. I wish I would’ve known this before I got the car. Lyle, love your videos.
