From my farm to your home. 🏡

A farm is much more than a house to live in; it’s a lifestyle. My passion for gardening and landscaping came from outdoor work with my mom in our expansive farm yard, my love for baking came from innumerable short walks to my grandma’s house to make cookies, and as a farmer, my dad taught me that we are the stewards of our land.

So whether you live in a city center or have decided rural life is for you, I hope to inspire you with the projects and recipes I use in daily life. We can’t all live on a farm, but we all need farms in our lives. From the dirt in my vegetable garden to the flour in my kitchen, I’ll show you everything I love to do.

If you want to be really organic and eradicate those Japanese Beetles forever, get yourself a couple of ducks. They will eat the larvae, like they are candy, as well as other nasty bugs, won't hurt your plants, or flowerbeds, and are super fun to watch. Just a kiddie pool and a predator safe sleeping area, and they are very low maintenance. Not to mention the eggs, yum!

Let me know when you start selling tickets for a private tour. I'll bring my own personal hammock. Everything seems so peaceful.

Have you ever heard of old-fashioned hollyhocks they would look beautiful growing up the side of that building with their spears and all their flowers on them and they come in different colors. They are perennial they come year after year bigger and more beautiful.

Your lawn is by far the most beautiful I have ever seen. I imagine myself walking on the different paths you have created. It is so calming to see all your beautiful plants. Thanks for sharing

First, I'd like to say I love watching your videos. Just a gentle reminder that we love watching the progress, and I get wanting projects done, but you two should give yourself credit for the incredible progress you've made. Don't wish your days away. We love watching each step. Thank you so much for sharing.

Your place is amazing Kaleb! I’m from the country and your yard is my dream yard. I’m a plant nut and you can name off all of them. So impressive. Love your videos ❤

Kaleb: Thank you, for your garden tour, and with land recently cleared out I am always looking for new ideas and what to plant in the garden. You are a great vegetable gardener, and your cabbage looks beautiful! Your limelight hydrangeas are gorgeous and like the idea of how you think about new and interesting finds at flea markets and like your newly painted green bench. You put a smaller & lovely bench in your garden and have made a cornerstone garden come alive. Your fountain that you see from the kitchen is a fun idea. A great aspect of gardening is we can always keep dreaming and with enough land to work on our projects are never completed! Your containers are all exceptionally designed and like the way your porch is decorated with so many plants! Is that a white bird of paradise in the background? Your lawn looks lush & beautiful. Had mine aerated so is looking good but will put a weed & feed down in the fall. Right now, wiping out weeds in the driveway & will have new gravel put down w>Nellis Landscaping. Thanks for sharing all of your many gardening ideas & ENJOY!

You are like me!! Or the other way around….lol. I have to bend over and pull weeds if I see them. I catch myself on my walk grabbing weeds!! I have to stop myself..🤣

Amazing tour. I love how Kaleb mostly relies on perennials for his garden. It is more efficient and sustainable, more natural 👌🏻

You are an inspiration to me to get started on my own garden. I sick of the constant food recalls and growing a garden is one way to have a little peace of mind.

Iowan here too. I've noticed they like sweet potato vine and it draws them in so I quit growing that in my flower bed. Haven't seen any this yr except for a green looking one I plucked off. Earwigs are a huge problem this year because of all the rain we've had. Ants are a pain too.

I’m with you on this and keep a take-out soup container of soapy water in my garden all summer. When I see one, in it goes. I’ve noticed that after following this method for four or five years I have less and less Japanese beetles in my garden. If you keep on top of them they don’t have a chance to breed and lay eggs, disrupting their reproductive cycle. FYI, never ever use the traps as they attract many more beetles to your garden and you pay the price for years to come. I know from past experience. Evil beetles!
