My sincere advice to every artist who feels like they are not being giving a fraction of the credit they deserve (while others are hitting it big with close to zero talent) :

Stay at it. Keep on making music. Don't stop.
Even when you think you are coming up with "trash" music, still put it out there.

It is very possible and very likely that when you create that thing that you feel is less than 20% of what you think is good music, that is when the larger crowd responds to you.

We have realized, they just don't get it. They listen to music through in groups. They can't comprehend good music on their own. We know this. You know this.

So you just have to keep doing your thing because you love doing it. And at some point, when you least expect it, you could hit the larger audience.
And once you have broken into their little giant social bubbles, they will begin to "find" your previous work as well.
So there could be a greater windfall in the future for your older music too.
