Within a few hours of publishing this video, I chanced upon two publications studying NHIS (National Health Interview Survey) from 2010--2016 and 2012-2016 time frames:

(2023) Prevalence and factors associated with diagnosed diabetes mellitus among Asian Indian adults in the United States by Misra et al, PLOS Glob Public Health 3(2): e0001551 Excerpts: “A nationally representative sample of 1, 986 Asian Indian adults in the US.” — “2010 US census figures were used for age-sex standardization.” — “… pooled secondary data from multiple years (2012–2016) of the NHIS.” OBESE: 46% had BMI ≥ 25. OVERWEIGHT: 21% had 25 > BMI ≥ 23.

(2018) Hypertension, overweight/obesity, and diabetes among immigrants in the United States: an analysis of the 2010–2016 National Health Interview Survey by Commodore-Mensah et al, BMC Public Health, 018 Jun 20;18(1):773 OBESE/OVERWEIGHT: Approximately 78% of people from Indian sub-continent had BMI ≥ 23. Approximately 80% of men from Indian sub-continent had BMI ≥ 23.
