Cuboidal are cubed shape
Columnar have a greater height than width
Simple epithelial only have one layer and stratified are multilayered.

Epithelial tissues line cavities and cover surfaces of vessels and organs.
They protect us from the outside world, make up the lining of the stomach and intestine, help the kidney filter blood and form glands and their many secretions.
Epithelial tissues do not have blood vessels but can soak up nutrients from blood vessels in connective tissue underneath. They are also very good at regeneration
