Junior Astronaut - Air Resistance and Forces

In this section we use a simple experiment to show the effects of air resistance. Your students are asked to grab a sheet of paper and spin round in a circle to feel the force of a trillion air molecules!

Using the same sheet of paper, they are given instructions to build a paper airplane and to try and launch it at the moon.

There's an interactive scene where they can throw a paper airplane too. Unsurprisingly their planes don't quite make it and so begins are quest to understand forces and gravity.
