Is Mojang Secretly Teasing Minecraft 1.22?!

Minecraft 1.22 might be right in front of us, at least if we believe the signs. Over the past couple of weeks mojang and minecraft have done some interesting things. Today we take a close look at all of those things in search of the answer

I find it kind of interesting that, during the Ender cup, they had a part where they showed all the updates in order with the ender cup at the end…

Watched the Ender Cup from Grian’s perspective and they kept hyping themselves up about an End update. It showed Minecraft through all the updates leading to the “end” and they were so ready for it so show an end update.
You never know though, they could’ve been right.

-The Potato update and the Moon dimension were a test for the end update.

-There were a ton of nature documentary-like videos made about the End and Ender Dragon.

-The MCC event was made just after the Tricky Trials update, so LOGICALLY it should be called the Trial Cup, as the minigames were literally tricky trials.


-A recent 'around the block' article referenced the stronghold's age.

This is PERFECTLY logical, don't worry.

The original reason I wanted an end update a few years ago was because the devs said a while back that they won't add any new dimensions until the nether and end get updated. Then they updated the nether. Now we want the end updated so we can get a new dimension.

Now I just want an end update because I want the end updated.

The original concept, before it was scrapped and replaced with what we got, was for a Skylands dimension not unlike the Aether mod and it was apparently going to have a red dragon in it. Way back when the Custom World Generator was a thing, it was possible to create these Skylands.

I'd love to see clusters of end islands spawning at different Y levels. I say clusters because I think every single island at a different level would make it too difficult to fly around safely without crashing into walls lol

When we saw that sequence of the history of Minecraft in the Ender cup I was so sure for a moment that they were going to reveal the next chapter, and it looked so much like it was going to be an End update. I mean, that giant green eye! But then it went to Dodge Bolt... I hate to think they were just teasing us.
