Carol may have deserved a Nobel for her telomerase discovery, but she should either have it revoked, or a large asterisk next to her name to ensure she is labeled as a cut-throat, selfish, deplorable scientist and human being. Why? Oh, I don’t know...maybe because B. Weinstein discovered that all lab mice used in medical research design are being bred from a single lab, resulting in mice with elongated telomeres (rather than the natural wild type), which means researchers have had a skewed sample population to study the safety and efficacy of many drugs approved for use in human beings. The implications of using these mice in the research methods utilized to test our drugs, is of an alarmingly terrifying great magnitude, and when this was brought to the illustrious Dr. Carol Greider, she decided that she would rather do what is necessary to cover up Weinstein’s findings. Why would the revered Carol Greider do such a thing? Well...she wanted to keep the findings “in-house” so that she could continue to use this private knowledge to generate future publications, grant awards, and prestige. Disgusting. This human [Greider] has decided that her CV is more important than the lives of hundreds of million/billion people that will consume medications that may be approved as safe, unknowingly causing significant harm to their bodies. Sociopath.

How long does Ms Greider imagine this might be nicely contained? I wonder also if this might not have been her idea to suppress the origin of her understanding of the length of telomeres of lab mice compared to wild mice. It's entirely possible that she may have been pressured by the big pharmas to proceed this route. Otherwise big implications would definitely arise costing big money for big lawsuits.
