This should have been a layup for the prosecution... They had 5 years to put a solid case together, and they blew it. What's even crazier than that, is all these geniuses in the comments talking about "free Melly, if they don't have the evidence to convict him he must be innocent!" Like there aren't any foul ass people walking around who got away with some horrible shit.. If a jury results in a hung jury then that should be case beat...if the prosacuter has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt...then a hung jury proves they did not do that....shouldt be no damn retail where the da knows your defence and will have a major advantage going in for a round 2

The judge cannot give out a double jeopardy because when you find somebody innocent the first time you cannot open up the case again and that's what you call a double jeopardy

Bro everyone is saying “free MELLY” but what if he did do it *which I believe he did* if he did do it and we just freed him what’s stopping him from doing this again? I’m tired of seeing all of this “free MELLY” BS because even if he isn’t guilty, he’s a suspect, and the law still applies to him either way. It’s the same thing if this was some random guy no one’s ever heard of, the only difference is everyone would be saying he did do it and wouldn’t want to free him! So what’s the difference here?

Melly could've been set up by the police or cortlen henry. Because i find it funny that Cortlen didn't fold on melly seeing how he is facing the death penalty. Maybe melly really did get out that SUV that night and into another SUV, and then the real shooter got in afterwards.
